Then and Now - 59 Years Later

59 Years Later, the 1953 Senior Class Officers Still Stay in Touch

Andrew Carola (Senior Class Vice President), Jim Marshall (Senior Class President), Ada Mae Frailey Saxton (Senior Class Treasurer) and Helen Russell Taylor (Senior Class Secretary) have continued to stay in contact with each other over the 59 years since their graduation from Mansfield State Teachers College in 1953.  Helen recently traveled to Mansfield from her home in California, and was able to meet with Jim and Andy during her visit.  Unfortunately, Ada Mae was unable to attend.  The three classmates had lunch together and spent the rest of the day "catching up, reminiscing, and comparing notes " on other classmates.  Andy shares, "There were many of us that were close in the 50's that have stayed in touch over the years, and that's pretty neat."
