The Mansfield University Alumni Association is fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate alumni in many ways. Each year outstanding alumni achievements are recognized through the Society of Honors program. The award presentation takes place during the annual Alumni Weekend Luncheon in June.

- The Alumni Citation Award, established in 1969, acknowledges exceptional contributions to society through professional, civic, and philanthropic work and leadership activities.
- The Elsie Burk Service Award, established in 1983, honors alumni who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, loyalty and service to Mansfield University.
- The Distinguished Educator Award recognizes outstanding, leadership, service and dedication to education and was first presented in 1986.
- The Outstanding Young Alumni Award, established in 1986, is given for outstanding professional performance, achievements and leadership to alumni who have graduated in the last 25 years.
Achievements are most frequently brought to our attention by fellow alumni, friends, family, faculty and staff. Nominations are accepted through December of each year for awards which are presented the following June. Please note that qualified nominees will be considered during the selection process for up to five years.
