Alumni Weekend is a special time for alumni and friends to gather together - so mark it on your calendar and join your friends and classmates on campus June 7 and 8, 2013.

Honored guests will include the Class of 1963, Society of Honors inductees, retired faculty and administrators, as well as all classes with years ending in 3 and 8. The planned activities will provide opportunities to get reacquainted and to see what's new and exciting at Mansfield.
Friday, June 7
The annual Alumni Golf Tournament will be held at the Corey Creek Golf Club with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds from the competition help fund athletic scholarships for Mansfield University students. Entry fee covers all fees, most contests (duffers, skins and mulligans) and includes lunch. The “Kappa” challenge continues….

Throughout the day students will host tours of the new residence facilities, bus tours of campus and tours of North Hall. Stop by the 5th floor of North Hall and enjoy some refreshments - compliments of the MU Foundation. You'll want to save some time for shopping at the Campus Bookstore located in Alumni Hall and we hope you'll join us at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Alumni House located at 105 Sherwood Street.
Lobsterfest! The tradition continues… Join us for a delicious feast of lobster, shrimp and Steam-ship Round of Beef. Sit back, relax, and savor the delicious food and the wonderful company. And then make sure you have your dancing shoes as we enjoy the musical entertainment of Joe Callahan '05 following dinner. Complimentary adult beverages.
Saturday, June 8
Following the Class Meetings and Class Photos, we'll be honoring class years ending in 3 and 8 with special recognition for the Class of 1963, retired faculty and administrators, the newest members of the Alumni Society of Honors at Saturday's Luncheon. The 2013 Society of Honors recipients include Barbara Alspach Baylor '67, Dr. John "Jack" McInroy '58, Jewel Bittner Griffith '64 and Keith Palmer '96. Reunion classes will be seated together.
Following lunch, there will be student-hosted tours of North Hall, guided bus tours of campus, guided tours of the new residence facilities and the annual Create Your Own Ice Cream Sundae.

Nature Photography Workshop
Lee Hoar, President of the Grand Canyon Photography Club, will be providing a Nature Photography workshop on Saturday from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. Participants will gather in 307 Alumni Hall for a short presentation, then Lee will lead you on a walk around campus so you can sharpen your skills! Cost is $10 per person and space is limited so register early and don't forget your camera!
Kelchner Fitness Center
Alumni are invited to use Kelchner Fitness Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday free of charge. Bicycles are available for use on a daily basis (photo ID and signed waiver required). When you arrive on campus, check your registration packet for fitness center hours.
The fitness center will be hosting a Zumbathon on Saturday, June 8 from 9 AM - 12 PM. Funds raised will support March of Dimes. Cost is $10 pp, payable at the door (pre-registration is not required).
Check out the suite-style living available in the new residence facilities. Oak and Hickory are located on Morris Drive directly behind Doane. Each individual unit is climate controlled and includes a microfridge and private bathroom. Experience the "suite-life" on one of the guided tours or firsthand by reserving a room for the weekend! Shuttle service will be provided to and from center campus.

Bicycle the scenic Pine Creek Trail in the beautiful Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Contact John at Pine Creek Outfitters (5142 Rt. 6, 24 miles west of Mansfield) 570-724-3003 to make a reservation (mention MU Alumni Weekend 2013). The $35 fee includes bicycle, 17-mile self-guided journey to Blackwell (approx. 3 hours), and a return shuttle from Blackwell to Pine Creek Outfitters. Open daily 9 AM - 6 PM. Bring your camera to capture photos of the beautiful flora and fauna.

Directions to campus from Route 15:
Take Route 6 Exit to Mansfield. Turn left and travel east on Route 6. Proceed straight through both traffic lights (Lambs Creek and Main Street intersections); proceed 2 blocks, turn right onto South Academy Street. Take second left into Visitor Parking lot in front of Alumni Hall. You can park (temporarily) while you register. You'll receive a campus map in your registration packet along with information regarding parking. (Manser Dining, Alumni Hall and North Hall are all located in the center of campus. Oak & Hickory residence facilities are located on the south end of campus, behind Doane.)
